Join us on February 21 for the 5th Annual Angel 34 “Sweets & Treats” Wine and Chocolate Event at St. Joseph the Worker's Parish Hall in Orefield. This event is sure to tantalize the taste buds and please the palette.

During the three-and-half-hour event, attendees will get the chance to purchase and taste some of the best wines in the valley from Blair Vineyards, Franklin Hill Vineyards and Weathered Vineyards, pairing them with some wonderful chocolate desserts and appetizers from chocolatiers and businesses in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding communities. There will be cooking demonstrations with Chef Nathan Grube, who will be pairing delicious food with featured wines from the three participating wineries. A live chef auction, along with a Chinese auction and photobooth, promises an evening of fun and excitement. Tim Harakal will provide live music as a backdrop to the night's festivities. Guests will enjoy food from Dickies BBQ Sandwiches and Italian cuisine served up by Armetta’s Italian Restaurant of Macungie.

 Children’s Hospital Receives ICEE Machine

Thanks to a generous donation from Angel 34 Foundation, young patients at the Children’s Hospital at Lehigh Valley Hospital now have the opportunity to enjoy a cold treat. The foundation previously donated ICEE machines to two other pediatric areas at LVHN. Doug and Linda Sherriff oversee the foundation, which carries on the legacy of their daughter, Nicole, who died in 2004. Frozen ICEE drinks were sometimes the only refreshment she could tolerate while undergoing cancer treatment, so she made it her mission to provide ICEE machines to as many hospitals as possible. A homestyle bicycle tour is set for Saturday, Sept. 14 to benefit the Children’s Hospital at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Angel 34 Foundation. For more information, visit
